In the world of energy work, the term “energy body” is used to describe the non-physical layers of our being. Though some might think of the energy body as simply the aura, there are actually multiple energy bodies that make up our complete energy system. Each one of these bodies vibrates at a different frequency and serves a distinct purpose.
The first layer is the physical body, which is the most dense and has the slowest vibration. This is the body that we are most familiar with and it is what we see when we look in the mirror. The physical body is made up of cells, tissues, organs, and systems that work together to keep us alive and functioning.
The second layer is the etheric body, which is also known as the astral body or emotional body. This layer is less dense than the physical body and vibrates at a faster frequency. The etheric body is responsible for our emotions and feelings. It stores our memories, both positive and negative, as well as our dreams and aspirations.
The third layer is the mental body, which is also known as the mental plane or intellectual plane. This layer is even less dense than the etheric body and vibrates at an even faster frequency. The mental body is responsible for our thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions. It is here that we form our opinions and make our decisions.
The fourth layer is the causal body, which is also known as the spiritual plane or heavenly plane. This layer is the least dense of all and vibrates at the highest frequency. The causal body is responsible for our sense of connection to something larger than ourselves. It is here that we experience love, joy, and peace.
The fifth and final layer is the soul body, which is also known as the Divine Spark or divine Self. This layer is who we really are – eternal, infinite beings of love and light. The soul body vibrates at a frequency that is beyond measure. It is here that we connect with our true nature and purpose.
So there you have it – a brief overview of energy bodies. In future articles, we’ll explore each one in more detail. Until then, take some time to get to know your own energy system. Start by closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths. Then, simply focus your attention on each layer of your being, one at a time. See if you can become aware of how each one feels unique yet interconnected with the others.
