Breathwork is a type of therapy that uses controlled breathing to improve your mental and physical health. While it may sound similar to hyperventilation, breathwork is a different practice with different benefits.

Breathwork is based on the idea that our breathing patterns affect our state of mind. By changing the way we breathe, we can change our thoughts and feelings. Breathwork can be used to improve our mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote relaxation.

Hyperventilation, on the other hand, is a medical condition that occurs when you breathe too fast or deeply. This can lead to dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting. Hyperventilation can also cause chest pain and shortness of breath.

While breathwork and hyperventilation may sound similar, they are two different things. Breathwork is a safe and effective way to improve your mental and physical health. If you have any concerns about your breathing, please consult with a medical professional.
